Is Burmese a Very Interesting Language to Teach?

 Above the mentioned title, I will say "Of Course!".

I knew someone from a dating app. He is an Indian and has been working in this country for more than two years and still has no Burmese friends.

He explained that's the reason, he is weak in communication and afraid to talk with strangers. So, I was his very first Burmese friend for him. After passing 3 days, he asked me if, "He wants to learn Burmese, can you help me?". I willingly accepted "OK" but I don't have much experience teaching Burmese.

During the first night of training, we both didn't know what to do and then started laughing. At that time, he said that "He wants to learn this and this".

They are;

How much is this? (Bal Louk Lal?)

Of course not! (Ma Hope Boo.)

It is expensive. (Zay Gyi Tel.)

Please reduce it a little. (Zay Shot Pay Own.)

Friend. (Tu Ngal Chin.)

Teacher. (Sa Yar Ma.)

I used the English words that have a similar pronunciation with our language to understand him easily.

He also worked hard. We spent about an hour every night for studying and also talking about Myanmar (Politics, Economics) and so on.

He said that the Burmese he had met were very polite and helpful.

He always says, "He likes Myanmar" but now we don't talk to each other anymore. It's because he's busy, and I'm busy too.

At the time of writing this blog, I have already sent him a message "Hi".

It is so much fun to teach the Myanmar language to someone who loves Myanmar and I had a special time.

Myanmar language is not as difficult as you think.

I hope you start learning because the pronunciations are lovely and our culture is interesting.
